LOG_EAM_CI_6: Assignment of Documents to Maintenance Orders (New)

Use

The business function Enterprise Asset Management Part 6 (LOG_EAM_CI_6) is available as of the following releases:

  • SAP ERP 6.0 SP21 (EA-APPL 600)
  • Enhancement package 2 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP11 (EA-APPL 602)
  • Enhancement package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP10 (EA-APPL 603)
  • Enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP11 (EA-APPL 604)
  • Enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP08 (EA-APPL 605)
  • Enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP03 (EA-APPL 606)

This business function enables you to display, create, and assign relevant documents when processing maintenance orders. You can display object links, which you created in the maintenance order at order level or operation level, in the document info records on the Object Links tab. You can edit object links at order level in the corresponding document info records.

In the maintenance order on the Additional Data tab, a list of all assigned documents is available. In the group box Document Assignments, you can define a layout to specify which information from the document info record you want the system to display as table columns. You also have the following options:

  • You can create new documents and assign them at order level or operation level. When you create new documents, the system assigns them automatically at order level. If you want them assigned at operation level, you must do this manually.
  • You can navigate to the display of each document info record.
  • You can open the original file of each document as long as it is stored on a central document server.
  • You can display documents for maintenance notifications and for the following reference objects of the maintenance order: equipment, functional location, and assembly. Documents that have already been assigned to a piece of equipment, for example, can also be assigned at order level or operation level.
  • You can remove the assignment of documents at order level or operation level.
  • In the list, you can search for documents, define and manage filters, and sort documents.

Note:
You define which document types you can assign at header level and operation level in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Document Management --> Control Data --> Define Document Types. You can only assign documents at order level and operation level if you have specified in Customizing that the assignment to objects PMAUFK (order) and/or PMAFVC (operation) is allowed for the document types of those documents. Additional functions such as valuating and classifying links between objects and documents are not supported in plant maintenance orders.

Effects on Existing Data

In the transactions for creating, changing, and displaying plant maintenance orders (IW31, IW32, IW33), the new group box Document Assignments is available on the Additional Data tab.

In the transactions for creating, changing, and displaying document info records (CV01N, CV02N, CV03N) on the Object Links tab, there are two new tabs called Maintenance Order and Maintenance Operat.. You can navigate to a maintenance order by double-clicking on it.
