FND_EPT_PROC_ORCH_1: Business Function Business Process Monitoring & Analytics for Business Suite Processes (New)
Use
As of SAP Business Suite Foundation 7.31 the business function Business Process Monitoring and Analytics for Business Suite Processes is available. (This is a cornerstone of Process Observer in the Business Suite.) With this business function, you can activate process logging. Process logging provides visibility for a single process execution and this visibility provides a basis for monitoring and analytics. A user interface delivered with this business function enables the user to use the process log to monitor processes from end-to-end.
- Note
- A prerequisite for process logging is the creation of simple process definitions which define the scope of the process to be logged and the assignment to application artifacts. Process definitions and those assignments are created in Customizing for this business function. For more information, see the Customizing section below.
The business function allows you to see how built-in process logic is executed in runtime, leading to process transparency. Process transparency is a prerequisite for continuous process reengineering, process improvement, process monitoring, and analytics. This transparency works to reduce your total cost of ownership (TCO).
