BAPIs / RFC-Enabled Functions Modules (New)

Use

New BAPIs

As of SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0, the following new BAPIs are available for resource management for the maintenance of effort distribution on roles and resources:

  • BAPI_BUS2177_ROLE_DIST_GET (BAPI Role: Determine Demand Distribution)
  • BAPI_BUS2177_ROLE_DIST_SET (BAPI Role: Change Demand Distribution)
  • BAPI_BUS2177_STAFF_DIST_GET (BAPI Role: Determine Demand Distribution)
  • BAPI_BUS2177_STAFF_DIST_SET (BAPI Role: Change Demand Distribution)

All distribution period types are supported (daily, weekly, monthly), as are generic intervals. For generic intervals, the individual periods and the distribution values can be changed. For the other period types, only the distribution values can be changed. This matches the behavior on the UI.

New RFC-Enabled Function Modules

As of SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0, the following new RFC-enabled function modules are available. All these function modules are enabled for multiple objects. This means that it is possible to get the necessary information for n objects with one single call. For performance reasons, the function modules determine the necessary data directly via database access without using the standard object model.

  • DPR_PROJECT_GET_DETAILS_DB (Project: Determine Detailed Data)
  • DPR_PHASE_GET_DETAILS_DB (Phase: Determine Detailed Data)
  • DPR_TASK_GET_DETAILS_DB,,(Task: Determine Detailed Data)
  • INM_INITIATIVE_GET_DETAILS_DB (Display Initiative Details (UI Information))
  • /RPM/ITEM_GET_DETAILS_DB (Display Item Details (UI Information))

Note that these function modules are not BAPIs and should not be used together with BAPIs as they do not use or load the standard object model.
