Usage Types and Technical Requirements (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0, the following usage types are supported:

New PFCG Role in ABAP Back-End System for NWBC Usage

The new PFCG role SAP_BPR_PPM is available for NWBC usage when running against PFCG roles (in addition to the PFCG roles of release 4.5). For more information about BCV-specific roles, see BCV Reporting for Resource Management (New).

New URL

When using SAP Portfolio and Project Management without SAP NetWeaver Portal, the URL to call the Portfolio and Project Management application in 5.0 is different from the URL for cProjects 4.0/4.5. You call the Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 application in the browser using a URL that is structured as follows:

://..:<Port>/sap/bc/nwbc/

URLs from cProjects 4.0/4.5 should still work as they should be redirected to the new screens. However, we recommend to use the new URLs directly whenever possible.
