Item Dashboard Performance (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.0, the performance of the item dashboard has been optimized based on standard dashboard processing and the dashboard settings defined in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management under Portfolio Management -> Global Customizing -> Global Field Settings. As a result of this, the item dashboard can be accessed and refreshed more quickly.

If you are only using standard dashboard processing, you do not need to make any settings for this enhancement.

If you have implemented the Business Add-In (BAdI) Item/Decision Point API (/RPM/ITEM_API), the performance optimization is deactivated by default. You need to implement method COLUMNS_USED_IN_ALTER_LIST of the same BAdI in order to activate the performance optimization and enhance it so as to enable customer-specific dashboard processing in the method ALTER_ITEM_LIST of the BAdI.
