LOG_PP_PRSP: Business Package für Production Supervisor (Changed)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 4 (EA-SCM 604), the business function Business Package für Production Supervisor is available. If you wish to activate this business function and use the production supervisor portal content, you must install the Business Package for Production Supervisor 1.4.

You can now also use the role of the production supervisor for production control in the process industry and repetitive manufacturing. Previously, the role could only be used in discrete manufacturing.

In the portal, there is just one role for all industries. In the backend system, on the other hand, the following individual roles are offered in the transaction PFCG:

  • SAP_PRODUCTION_SUPERVISOR_PI,,,,Production Supervisor PI
  • SAP_PRODUCTION_SUPERVISOR_PP,,Production Supervisor PP
  • SAP_PRODUCTION_SUPERVISOR_REM,,Production Supervisor Repetitive Manufacturing

If you assign certain applications of the Production Supervisor role (OPS-PRSP-POWL-*) to one of the individual roles in the transaction POWL_TYPER, the user to whom this individual role is assigned sees only those object types that are relevant to his or her industry in the iViews in question.

The following new worksets and iViews are offered in the portal:

  • Workset Shift Reports
The new workset Shift Reports enables you to create and process shift reports. It also offers you the option of creating maintenance notifications, maintenance orders, and quality notifications, as well as carrying out a personnel evaluation.
A key component of the workset is the new iView Shift Reports. This iView provides an overview of already created shift reports. You can see at a glance whether you still have to sign a shift report. Using the appropriate function keys, you can create, invoke, print out, and sign shift reports.
  • Workset Planning Situation
The new workset Planning Situation gives the production supervisor an overview of problems that are already visible in the planning phase, enabling him to react accordingly to ensure trouble-free production.
The workset Planning Situation consists of the following parts:
  • iView Alerts

The existing iView has been enhanced so that now also range-of-coverage alerts and alerts from SAP APO can be received and displayed. See also: Example Implementation for Alerts for Production Planning
  • iView Range-of-Coverage Overview

This new iView gives you an overview of the materials with a critical range of coverage (days' supply). The status is displayed in the form of traffic lights.
  • iView Capacity Overview

This new iView provides a tabular overview of the capacity utilization and the available capacity of selected work centers.
  • iView Sales Orders Subject to Delay

In this iView, you can have a list showing sales orders subject to delay generated. For each sales order, you get the expected number of days by which the sales order is delayed in comparison with the requirement date. In addition, you can determine the BOM levels at which the delay is occurring. The basis for this data is provided by the report RMDMULTILEVELDELAY, which determines the delay of the affected MRP elements on multiple levels and makes this data available to the business package.

The following existing worksets and iViews in the portal have been enhanced:

  • Workset Work Overview
The workset has been enhanced through the addition of the iView Capacity Utilization at Work Centers, which is based on a BI evaluation.
The already existing iView Worklist has been supplemented by the following evaluations:
Previously you could create and display a personal worklist containing order operations to be confirmed, which could be directly confirmed from this list. This is now also possible for planned orders from repetitive manufacturing and for phases in process orders.
Previously you could also create a List of Operations. This is now also possible for phases and PI sheets.
With regard to the operations that are to be confirmed, you have the option of displaying the order details and the results of the check relating to the feasibility of the operations.
In addition, you can invoke information on production and process orders and planned orders from repetitive manufacturing from the order information system.
Another new feature is that you can display information from the Production Order Info System, such as predecessor/successor information in the evaluation of PP operations.
  • Workset Confirmation
This workset has been enhanced through the addition of the iView Create Confirmation for Process Orders. You can confirm process orders in this iView.

The following worksets and iViews have been removed:

  • The workset Shift Notes has been removed entirely.
  • The iViews Stock Quantity Overview and Stock Days' Supply Over Time have been removed from the workset Work Overview.
