Short text
Document management: "Basic Data" screen
Description
Due to enhancements to the functionality, the following new fields have been added:
- Revision level
-
You can identify specific change statuses of a document by assigning revision levels to them.
In the "Document Types" step of the IMG for document management, you define whether a document which is released for the first time with a change number is automatically to be assigned a revision level.
Once this function has been executed, the system shows this field.
For more detailed information, see the release note Assigning a revision level to a document.
- Postscript file
-
You can create an EPS print file for the original application file, which can be inserted in SAPscript texts using an INCLUDE.
For more detailed information, see the release note Changes to processing of original application data.
- Indicator: document structure exists
-
Document structures are used to group together documents which are functionally related.
For more detailed information, see Release Note se-Information Collective documents.
In the Originals dataset, the following changes have been made:
- Previously, you could process original application data using the fields Application 1 and Application 2. These fields are now called File
1 and File 2.
In this dataset, you can first enter the workstation applications for both files, for editing or for display only.
Once you have selected an application, you see the description of this application.
- You can maintain data on where the original application files are stored using the Storage data pushbutton. Once you have entered this storage data, you see an arrow next to the file field.
-
Note:
This arrow has an additional function. You can use it to start the display application for the original application file entered.
- Corresponding changes have been made to the Extras menu. Using menu option Application, you can go directly to file 1, file 2, the storage data or the EPS print file.
- For more detailed information, see release note Changes to processing of original application data.
