Engineering Change Management: Archiving

Description

As of Release 4.0A, you can archive change master records.
The standard R/3 System is set up to allow you to do this. The archiving object for engineering change management is LO_CHANGM.

You can:

• Archive data

• Delete archived data

• Read archived data

• Organize data

Archiving data

When you archive change master records, you archive data from the following tables:

AEDT	Change master record: alternative dates
AEEF	Change master record: validity
AEHI	Change hierarchy
AENR	Change master record
AENV	Change master record: object types
AEOI	Change master record: object management records

Variants of the archiving program

You can define the following selection criteria for change master records under the variant settings:

• Main selection criteria, such as:

• Change number (interval)

• Created by (interval)

• Date selection criteria, such as:

• Last changed on (interval)

You can either:

• Archive and/or delete only the change master records that match your selection criteria and have a deletion flag

• Archive and/or delete all change packages allocated to a leading change master record that you want to archive or delete
