Document Management: Changed Customizing Structure
Description
As of Release 4.0A, the structure of Customizing for the Document Management System has been changed.
Steps for some settings have been grouped together.
- Define document types contains the following steps:
- Define document type
- Define language-dependent document descriptions
- Define document statuses
- Define object links
- Define templates for original files
- Define object link descriptions
- Define language-dependent document statuses
- Maintain data carriers contains the following steps:
- Define data carrier type archive
- Define archives
- Define data carrier type vault
- Define vaults
- Define data carrier type server, frontend
- Define servers
- Display frontends
- Define mount points / logical drives
- Define workstation applications contains the following steps:
- Define workstation applications
- Define workstation applications in network
- Define templates for original files
- Data transfer workbench: documents
- To transfer documents from other system as of Release 4.0A, you use the Data Transfer Workbench.
- Under Tools -> Data transfer, the following entries are no longer necessary:
- Maintain transfer structure
- Process transfer file
- Transfer data now
