BOMs: changed functions

Description

The following functions have been enhanced for Release 4.0A:

• Validity of follow-up items

• Mass change

Validity of follow-up items

You create a follow-up item by maintaining the follow-up group under Effective-in and out dates when you create a new item. Until now, the Valid from date of a follow-up item has always been specified internally as 01.01.1900.
As of Release 4.0, validity will be maintained for follow-up items. As soon as you change the item data of a follow-up item (for example, you change the item quantity), the system creates a new item record. The validity is either determined by the Valid from date, or by new validity type parameters.

Mass change

You can execute the following new functions for BOM items:

• Add

• Change item data for material item

• Indicator for relevancy to costing

• Indicator for bulk material

Damage caused to data by errors
