Enhancements to BOM Reporting

Description

BOM explosion

As of this release, you can also explode sales order BOMs. The following functions are supported:

• BOM level by level

• Multi-level BOM

• Summarized BOM

The procedure is the same as the procedure for material BOMs. Additionally, you must identify the sales order BOM with the sales order number and sales item number if you want to process it.

• You can now make an authorization check for for the company-specific display profiles (List profile for display and List profile for printing). The authorization is controlled using authorization object Authorization for variable list objects. This is assigned to the authorization class Production planning.

Where-used list

As of this release, the following BOM types will also be taken into account for the where-used list:

• Sales order BOM

• WBS (work breakdown structure) BOM

The where-used list for classes only takes configurable material BOMs into account.

BOM comparison

You can now perform a BOM comparison for the following additional BOM types:

• Sales order BOM

• WBS BOM

• Production order BOM

• Components of a production order

The information on the result screens is displayed more comprehensively.

Change documents

Changes that you make to sales order BOMs without reference to a change number are now also saved in change documents.

When you create a single-level BOM, no change documents are created for the items.
