New functions for 3.0D in the production order

Description

The following new functions are delivered for 3.0D:

  • Automatic final confirmation on reaching the underdelivery tolerance
The choice between a partial and a final confirmation can only be made to depend upon whether the confirmed quantity (yield + rework quantity) has reached the underdelivery tolerance of the order header. It is only when the underdelivery tolerance is reached that a final confirmation is created.
You can define in Customizing what sort of confirmation is to be proposed automatically:
  • always a partial confirmation

  • always a final confirmation

  • automatic confirmation on reaching the underdelivery tolerance

(see define confirmation parameters)
  • Check confirmed quantities in previous operation
The whole quantity that you confirm for an operation (that is, yield + rework quantity + scrap) is checked against the yield + rework quantity of the preceding operation. If you want to confirm a larger quantity than the preceding operation then a message is issued.
The seriousness of the message (e.g. warning or error message) is the same as if the sequence of operations in the confirmation is not adhered to (see Confirmation control in Customizing).
  • automatic goods movements for materials which have to have a serial number
Automatic goods movements for confirmation (backflush or automatic goods receipt) are not possible for materials that have to have a serial number, since it is not known in advance which serial number is to be entered. However, if an automatic goods receipt is given for a material that requires a serial number then an appropriate error record is written. This error record is displayed in the production control menu (Environment -> goods movements -> Rework goods movements) but a reposting of goods movements is not possible. The error record can be deleted manually and the goods movements can be executed using transactions for stock control.
  • New reprocessing functions
The reprocessing function for incorrect goods movements has been extended by the following functions:
  • new selection conditions

  • variable sorts

  • change mode / display mode

  • list functions (refresh, search, cumulate / individual display)

  • replacen / split

  • Define profiles for pick lists
The layout of pick lists can be predefined using profiles in Customizing (see Define profiles for pick lists in Customizing).
  • Profiles for object overviews
The layout of object overviews can be predefined using overview versions in Customizing (see Maintain overview versions of object overview).
  • Change net quantity in production order
Until 3.0D you could only enter the net quantity of the production order when creating it. The system then calculated the gross quantity (by taking the assembly scrap into account). As from 3.0D you can change the net quantity at a later time. To do this select the menu options Header -> Change net quantity. A dialog box appears where you can enter a new net quantity, scrap quantity, or scrap percentage record. The system then calculates the gross quantity again.
  • Change the special stock indicator
The special stock indicator for a component can be changed in the production order on the component overview screen (column 'SB'). For example, you can change a component from plant stock to consignment stock.
Also, a supplier for the withdrawal posting can be planned for the special stocks consignment and pipeline.
  • Transfer of costing profile from the sales order
If a production order is settled on a sales order then you can specify in Customizing for Sales and Distribution that the costing profile is to be transferred from the sales order to the production order.
  • Transfer of production priority from sales order
You can specify a production priority in the sales order that is automatically transferred to the production order as the order priority.
  • Planne order in order information system
The functions of the order information system can now be used both for production orders and for planned orders.
If planned orders are selected the selectable objects are restricted to order headers and components.
  • Collective availability check in order information system
Within the order information system you can check several orders at the same time for their material availability. This collective availability check always involves an overall check of every order selected.
You can also state whether the confirmed quantities of the components are to be reset before the availability check.
You can find more information in the document 'PP - production orders'.
  • Display goods movements
If it is specified in Customizing for production orders (order-dependent parameters) that goods movements are to be documented you can display these in the production order (Goto -> Goods movements).
  • Archiving for pilot customers
The archiving of production orders is first released for 3.0E for general use. However in 3.0D it can already be used by pilot customers. If you are interested you should contact the secretary of development.
