Short text
Collective Orders
Description
You now have the option of linking planned orders or production orders using a collective order.
A collective order has the following functionality:
- Integrated view of a production process
- A collective order allows you to depict an integral production process as one structure in the system.
- Separate order number for every order
- Each level of a collective orer contains separate production orders / planned orders. Each production order /planned order has its own order number. This means that you can decide whether to access the entire collective order, a sub-tree of the order structure, or a single order.
- No stock movements between production levels
- Within a collective order, a stock receipt is only carried out for the material of the main order (i.e. for the order found on the upper manufacturing level)
- Business functions carried out simultanesouly on several orders
- By releasing an order which is part of a collective order, for ex., you can automatically cause the release of all the orders that are hierarchically subordinated.
- Automatic update of dependent orders
- Changes in an order (for example, change to an order quantity) affect all dependent orders as soon as the order is saved.
Further notes
Collective orders have the following restrictions:
- All orders in a collective order must have the same order type.
- Only order types with internal number assignment may be used for collective orders.
Further information on collective orders can be found in the manual 'PP - Production Orders'.
