Changes to 3.1G in the Confirmation

Description

In 3.1G the following functions were changed:

  • Current quantity to be confirmed in connection with rework operations (PP or PP-PI)
The planned quantity to be confirmed in an operation is calculated as follows:
  • Formerly: Yield + rework quantity of last operation that was or should be confirmed.

  • As of 3.1G: Yield + smallest confirmed yield of directly preceding rework operations (that is, operations with the indicator 'rework' in the control key)

  • Activation/deactivation of indicator 'finally issued' for backflushed components
The system takes into account currently existing error records for the (de-)activation of the indicator 'finally issued'.
  • Performance improvement for reworking of faulty goods movements
The parallel processing of faulty goods movements improved the runtime of the rework function.
  • Limitation of the number of error records selected for rework
You can enter a maximum number of error records when calling up rework.
  • Definition of 'dummy messages' when correcting faulty goods movements
Error records that arose on goods movements confirmations can now be divided into
  • error records that arose through actual errors (for example, missing storage location, missing batch etc.) and

  • error records that were generated by temporary locking of the data required or temporary lack of stock.

Using this distinction you can ensure that error records that were generated by temporary problems are not listed in the rework transaction but are processed in the next background job for goods movements.
You can define messages that are not to be displayed in the rework list in table TAFWD (transaction SM31).
NOTE: You should only use 'dummy messages' if you are processing goods movements in the background.
  • Removal of processed error messages from the processing list
If a material document was successfully posted for an error record then the error record is removed from the rework list (table AFFW). Instead, an index is generated in the new table AFWI that refers from the confirmation to the material documents generated. This improves the performance of the rework and the background job.
You can remove from the rework list error records for which material records were posted before 3.1G with the report CORUAFWX.
