Short text

Operations/components in a production order not relevant for MRP

Description

You can create production orders:

  • For which no purchase requisitions have yet been created for externally processed operations and externally procured components
  • Whose reservations for components have not yet been taken into account in MRP

These order objects (operations, components) are not relevant for MRP, that is, they do not lead to the creation of corresponding procurement elements (purchase requisitions, planned orders).

You can specify that:

  • Purchase requisitions and reservations for the order object are activated when releasing, that is, purchase requisitions are created for externally processed operations and externally procured components, and the reservations for components are taken into account in MRP. Before releasing, you can activate these purchase requisitions and reservations using the relevant function.
  • Purchase requisitions and reservations are not relevant for MRP and can only be activated using the relevant function.
  • Order objects are immediately relevant for MRP.

You can find additional information in the documentation 'PP - Production Orders' (PP-SFC) under section Operations/components not relevant for MRP.
