PP-PDC Interface

Scope of Functions

The PP-PDC interface is available as of release 4.6A. It is an interface for R/3 Shop Floor Control and is standardized for connecting subsystems that are used to enter time tickets and time events.

The interface used previously (as of Release 3.0A) was called Communication Channel 2 (CC2). In comparison to the previous interface, the new interface includes an enhanced range of business functions. In addition, it has been implemented as an asynchronous SAP R/3 BAPI interface that functions without the transceiver.

Subsystems can take part in the SAP Complementary Software Program (CSP) for this interface.

The PP-PDC interface functions as follows:

  • To download the master data, schedule program SAPPPC22 in a background job. It sends the data to the subsystem.
  • To download the order operations, schedule program CIBDOP_DOWN_PP in a background job. It sends the data to the subsystem.
  • To upload, schedule the program CIBDCONF_REQUEST in a background job. It requests the data from the subsystem.

The PP-PDC interface contains the following methods:

  • Download work centers
BOR object: RCVPRORDCF Method: ReceiveWorkCenter
  • Download order operations
BOR-Object: RCVPRORDCF Method: ReceiveProdOrder
  • Upload request
BOR object: RCVPRORDCF Method: RequestProdOrdConf
  • Upload time tickets
BOR object: BUS2116 Method: CreatePredefTimeTicketMultiple
  • Upload time events
BOR object: BUS2116 Method: CreatePredefTimeEventMultiple
