New Function: Deactivate Maximum Rate as Basis for Takt-Based Scheduling

Scope of Functions

Previously in takt-based scheduling, the time in which a material could be processed in a takt was determined by the reciprocal of the maximum rate. As the maximum rate does not change over time, this time was constant, as was the speed of the line. The adjustment of the production line to the production quantities was controlled by the planned rate, which influences the speed with which materials enter the line. In practice, production lines are also adjusted for changing production quantities by varying the speed of the line. This is now an option in Line Design and takt-based scheduling in Sequencing. In the line hierarchy you can deselect the indicator Basis of Scheduling in the maximum rate. Sequencing then carries out takt-based scheduling on the basis of the time-dependent planned rate. This means that the time, in which a material can be processed in a takt, or the speed of the line are variable.
