Error Processing with the Status Change
Scope of Functions
Previously, a kanban was always set to EMPTY after a faulty status change. Only after carrying out the kanban correction, which requires an aproppriate authorization, could you process the kanban again.
For Release 4.6A you can define in which cases the system only produces the corresponding error message and does not change the status of the kanban, after an error. In all other cases the system sets the kanban to status ERROR.
In many cases, for example if there is no valid cost collector when you are backflushing a run schedule quantity, it is advisable to set the error status, as the user has to first of all complete missing data. In other cases, for example if the data is temporary blocked by another user, an error message will suffice. The user can repeat this action at any time and the kanban retains its status.
In Customizing for KANBAN under Status -> Define error processing on status change, you can define in which error messages the status of the kanban is to be retained. Please read the corresponding Customizing documentation.
