MRP: New Exception Messages in the Planning Evaluations

Description

Two new exception messages were created in release 3.0F for the planning evaluations:

• Excess cover in individual segment (26)
  
  

This exception is created if the sum of stock plus receipts is greater than the requirement quantity in the individual customer or project segment.

The exception message is set in the system as follows:

• If stock alone is greater than the requirement in the individual segment, the exception is displayed in the stock line.

• If receipts are planned, then the exception message is displayed for the receipt that lies the furthest in the future. However, all receipts whose quantity (also partial quantity) exceeds the requirement quantity are provided with an exception message.

The system also displays the quantity not required to cover the requirement in the details screen for the receipt.

The exception message is displayed in the MRP list.
The exception message is not set in the stock/requirements list until the rescheduling check has been carried out.

• Max. release qty - quota exceeded (70)
  
  

The system sets this exception message when the receipt exceeds the maximum release quantity of the source of supply.

In the quota file, you can specify maximum release quantities per period for each source of supply. Thus, it is possible;

• to define the maximum quantity that a vendor can deliver and/or

• to define the maximum quantity for in-house production for production versions.

A receipt that takes part in a quota arrangement (for example, a purchase order that was created manually) and that has caused the maximum release quantity to be exceeded is given this exception message.

If maximum release quantities have been defined for all quota items, and if the requirements in this period exceed the sum of all maximum release quantities, an order proposal is created in the planning run that is not assigned to any quota item. This order proposal also contains the exception message '70'.

The exception message is displayed in the MRP list.
The exception is not displayed in the stock/requirements list until the rescheduling check has been carried out.
