New variant for calculation of days' supply

Description

In release 4.0, there is an additional option for calculating the days' supply. This applies to the calculation of the days' supply as well as to the calculation of the receipt days' supply.

Until now the days' supply has meant the number of days until the stock level falls below the safety stock. This means, the number of days are calculated until the stock level falls below the safety stock. This is also still set in the standard settings.

Now, by setting an indicator in Customizing for MRP, you can define that the days' supply is to be calculated according to when the stock level falls below the physical stock. This means, the system calculates the number of days until the stock level falls below 0.

You can set this indicator in Customizing by choosing Define receipt elements for receipt days' supply or set it in the plant parameters.
