ATP Check: Activate Full Confirmation Logic

Scope of Functions

Up to now, when ATP was checked for planned orders, purchase requisitions, subcontracting purchase orders, and for schedule lines, the quantity of the components required was always confirmed according to the partial confirmation logic. Therefore, the component with the lowest availability determined the quantity confirmed for all the components. This contradicts the logic for production orders, where ATP is checked according to the full confirmation logic (when this standard setting has not been changed in Customizing).

You now have the option of checking ATP for the above-mentioned MRP elements according to the full confirmation logic. The total quantity available is confirmed for all the components.

Effects on Customizing

You activate the full confirmation logic in Customizing for MRP,

• under Define Availability Check for Components. Choose MRP group.

• or under Carry Out Overall Maintenance of MRP Groups. Enter a plant and choose the required activity. Enter an MRP group and confirm the required activity. The system displays the full screen for maintaining MRP groups. In the Availability check group, choose the option Check.ruledep.reqmt.
