Evaluations: Texts for Exception Groups Modifiable

Scope of Functions

The exception groups are displayed with certain texts in different parts of the system, for example, on the initial screen of the collective display of the MRP list.

SAP provides the following assignments of group numbers and texts:

1,,New; opening date in the past

2,,New; start date in the past

3,,New; finish date in the past

4,,General messages

5,,Exception during BOM explosion

6,,Exception during availability check

7,,Exception during rescheduling

8,,Terminations

You could not change these texts up to now.

You now have the option to adapt these texts to your company-specific assignment of exceptions messages to exception groups. Exception group 8 Terminations is the only group that you yourself cannot assign to a different exception messages and, therefore, whose text you cannot change.

Effects on Customizing

You change the texts for the exception groups in Customizing for MRP, under Check Exception Group Texts. This is also the case for Customizing for consumption-based planning.
