Evaluation Lists: Various Enjoy Improvements

Scope of Functions

The following improvements to the MRP list and the stock/requirements list resulted from the Enjoy initiative:

  • New selection limitations in the initial screen of the collective display (only the stock/requirements list)
  • Safety stock in a separate row
  • Processing indicator
  • Standardized search function
  • Indication of materials by traffic lights
  • Symbol column
  • Material availability in different plants
  • Improved display of period totals
  • Direct branch to Customizing or other applications
  • Pushbuttons for MRP elements under the respective list
  • Calculation of ATP quantities replaced by branch to the availability overview (CO09)
  • New fixed branches

New selection limitations in the initial screen of the collective display (only the stock/requirements list)

In the initial screen of the collective display of the stock/requirements list, you could limit the selection by material data only with reference to a particular MRP controller.

Now you can limit the selection by material data withreference to the product group, the class, the vendor, and the production line.

Safety stock in a separate row

Up to now, the safety stock in the lists was immediately offset against plant stock. To check the level of the safety stock, you had to go to the header details or the material master.

Now safety stock is displayed in a separate row.

Processing indicator

In the MRP list up to now, the only way that you could recognize whether you had already set the processing indicator for a list was by the indicator in the header details.

Now you can see the processing indicator as a green check mark in the header of the MRP list. The respective quick info text displays the date of processing. This symbol is also a pushbutton with which you can switch the processing status between processed and not processed.

There is now an additional column in the MRP list in which you can set or see the processing indicator in the overview. You no longer need to access the MRP list for each individual material.

Standardized search function

Up to now, the search function in the lists included the search for exceptions and for MRP elements. In addition, there was the search in the overview in the collective display.

These search functions have been grouped to a standardized function with the following selection options:

  • Search in the overview with searches by description, ranges of coverage, exception groups, processing indicators, traffic lights (only in the collective display)
  • Search by exceptions (only when exceptions exist)
  • Search by segments (only in the individual display)
  • Search by MRP elements

You can also use the search in the overview tree and thus limit your worklist.

Indication of materials by traffic lights

Up to now, you could use the search function in the collective display to search for certain ranges of coverage or exception groups. The materials found were flagged, and you could process them by using the MRP list sequence.

Now red traffic lights next to certain materials immediately indicate that these materials urgently need to be processed. The traffic lights are not a type of processing indicator, but a type of priority for critical materials. The traffic lights are displayed in the overviews for the collective display, and in the worklist tree for the MRP list and the stock/requirements list.

The system assigns a traffic light value (red. yellow, or green) to each material. The traffic light values are defined by ranges of coverage and exception groups. As standard, a red traffic light is displayed when the days' supply, the receipt days' supply 1, or the receipt days' supply 2 are less than or equal to zero, or when an exception message of group 8 Terminations is displayed. You can change and save these settings on a user-specific basis.

Symbol column

Up to now, you could access the detail dialog box for individual MRP elements only by double-clicking the respective element.

Now you can reach the detail dialog box by clicking the detail pushbutton once, in the symbol columns on the left side of the list. When applicable, other symbols are also displayed in the symbol columns, for example, the symbol for requirements grouping, or the symbol for other stocks.

Material availability in different plants

Up to now, the fields Plant and - when MRP areas were activated at client level - MRP area were always ready for input, and all the plants maintained in the system were displayed in the Plant field in the F4 help.

Now the fields Plant and MRP area are ready for input only when the material exists in at least one different plant or MRP area. Only the plants for which the material is maintained in the material master are displayed in the Plant field in the F4 help.

Improved display of period totals

In the display of period totals up to now, the columns for the range of coverage profile (statistical range of coverage, min. range of coverage, max. range of coverage, daily requirements, and so on) were dislayed even when no range of coverage profile was maintained in the material master.
Now these fields are displayed only when a range of coverage profile has been entered. This makes the display clearer.
  • Switching between period values
Up to now, you used the arrow keys to switch between the period values (day, week, month, planning calendar, individual split).
Now you simply select the corresponding tab page. This makes the display clearer, and you directly see which value you have set.

Direct branch to Customizing or other applications

By double-clicking certain fields, you go directly into Customizing or other applications. The appropriate information is displayed, but it cannot be changed. A prerequisite for branching to Customizing is the appropriate authorization (authorization to display tables).

Example fields: Lot size, MRP type, range of coverage profile, MRP controller, special procurement key, strategy group, vendor (vendor master), customer (customer master), material (material master)

Pushbuttons for MRP elements under the respective list

Up to now, all the pushbuttons were displayed in the upper application toolbar.

Now all the pushbuttons that refer to individual MRP elements in the respective list are displayed below the list. This clearly differentiates these functions from the general functions, which means those that refer to the whole material.

Functions that can be reached using pushbuttons are no longer included in the menu.

Calculation of ATP quantities replaced by branch to the availability overview (CO09)

Up to now, the function Calculate ATP quantity was in the menu for the MRP list and the stock/requirements list.

This function has been replaced by a branch to the function Availability overview (transaction CO09) for production control, under the menu path Environment. You can work with check rules in this function; you can predefine the required check rule in the MRP or the stock/requirements list.

New fixed branches

Four new branches are provided under the menu path Environment:

  • Configuration (only for configurable materials)
  • Quota arrangement (only for materials with a quota arrangement)
  • Production version (only for materials with a production version)
  • Product structure (is always available; the BOM structure or the material where-used list is displayed)
