Planning Run: No Termination for Missing Variant Configuration

Scope of Functions

The variant configuration should be available for each requirement of a configurable material,

Up to now, when the variant configuration was missing for such a material, the planning run was terminated with a termination MRP list, and the system issued an error message.

Now the planning run is continued in such a case. This has the following advantages for you:

• An individual, incorrect requirement no longer blocks planning for the whole material.

• Planning supports special cases, in which some requirements for a configurable material do not have variant configuration occassionally or in general.

When a configurable BOM cannot be exploded due to missing variant configuration, the order concerned is indicated in the MRP list with the new exception message 53 "No BOM explosion due to missing config." The long text for this exception message points out possible causes.
