Planned Order: Various Enjoy Improvements

Scope of Functions

The following improvements were made in the course of the Enjoy initiative:

  • Revision of the existing planned order screens
  • Integration of new fields for displaying additional information
  • Double-click navigation

Revision of the existing planned order screens

  • List fields instead of key fields
Up to now, when you displayed key fields in a planned order, the field value of the key was displayed in a simple output field. Now the short text of the corresponding key value is displayed in a list field (examples: order type, special procurement type, type of availability check, and so on). The existing F4 help no longer applies.
  • Standardized display of quantity and date information
The quantities and dates are displayed in two boxes, which are arranged vertically, on the Header tab page. This provides you with a better overview. The production dates are displayed with the time. The display of the corresponding dates has been standardized, on the screens where the scheduling dates for detailed, rate-based, and rough-cut scheduling, or sequencing are displayed.
  • Renaming of the account assignment data
The existing tab index Account assignment data has been renamed Assignment. The corresponding tab page was displayed dynamically up to now, which means that it was only displayed when you had entered an account assignment category. Now the tab page is always displayed, and you no longer maintain the account assignment category on the tab page Header but under Assignment.
  • MRP area instead of planning plant
When you activate MRP areas on client level, only the more specific MRP area is displayed and changeable in the planned order header, instead of the planning plant. This avoids MRP areas being selected that do not belong to the plant, and avoids the creation of inconsistent data.

Integration of new fields for displaying additional information

  • Display of GI quantity for partially confirmed planned orders
The quantity issued (GI quantity) is now also displayed for partially confirmed planned orders, in addition to the quantity received (GR quantity).
  • Additions to tab page Assignment
The data for the MRP controller, the purchasing group, and the production controller is also displayed on the tab page Assignment, in addition to the account assignment data.
The number of the respective superior planned order, production order, or process order is displayed on tab page Assignment for planned orders that are produced or procured directly. In addition, the number of the leading planned order is displayed for directly produced planned orders. The leading planned order is the planned order that forms the header of the collective order.
  • Additions to tab page Master data
On tab page Master data, you now find numerous new fields from the material master, the BOM, and the routing for detailed, rate-based, and rough-cut scheduling.

Double-click navigation

You can branch directly to the master data and movement data for different applications, or to Customizing, by double-clicking certain fields. The corresponding information is displayed but cannot be changed.

Examples:

  • Display of master data:
Material master, BOM, routing, production version, vendor master fields of a planned order
  • Display of movement data:
Planning scenario (long-term planning), sales order, source orders for direct production/procurement, requirements plan fields of a planning planned order
  • Display of Customizing settings:
MRP controller, production controller, purchasing group, account assignment category, lot-sizing procedure, action control fields
