Evaluation Lists: Flexible Transaction Calls Definable

Scope of Functions

In the MRP list or the stock/requirements list up to now, you could only branch to certain fixed transactions using the standard branches under Environment. If you wanted to branch from one of the lists to a transaction that was not listed, you had to exit the list and access it again later.

You now have the option to define your own transaction calls. Then you only press one key to reach the transactions. When you predefine certain fields, you can skip the initial screen. Constraints lead to the transactions only being offered when they make sense. This enables you to navigate quickly and more selectively between transactions.

The transaction calls can be general or specific to a certain MRP element. You define the transaction calls on a user-specific basis or group them to a navigation profile in Customizing.

  • User-specific definition of general transaction calls
Starting from the menu in the respective list, define your own general transaction calls, under Environment -> Own favorites -> Maintain. SAP provides you with examples.
Once you save your entries, the first five transactions that are valid in the respective context appear in the menu under Environment -> Own favorites, and in the application toolbar.
  • User-specific definition of transaction calls per MRP element
In the respective list, double-click the required material to call the detail dialog box. In the detail dialog box, choose Maintain favorites to define the transaction calls for the MRP element. SAP provides you with examples.
Once you save your entries, the first two transactions that are valid in the respective context appear in the application toolbar of the detail dialog box.
  • Group to navigation profiles in Customizing
In Customizing, you define navigation profiles, and define a record of general transaction calls and transaction calls per MRP element. Users can then assign themselves a navigation profile, by following the menu path Environment --> Navigation profile --> Assign or Settings. The users are then only offered the transaction calls that make sense for their work, without having to define the branches themselves.
Once you save the entries, the general transaction calls appear in the menu under Environment -->Navigation profile, and in the application toolbar. The transaction calls per MRP element appear in the application toolbar of the detail dialog box.

Effects on Customizing

You define navigation profiles in Customizing for MRP, under Define navigation profiles. The same is valid for Customizing for Consumption-Based Planning.

SAP provides a number of predefined navigation profiles from the SAP name range. Profile SAP0000000 is the profile in which the examples of user-specific definitions are saved.
