Display of Planning Data by Vendors over the Internet

Use

You can now use the report RMDMRPLIST to enable your external vendors to display certain planning data over the Internet. The vendor logs on to your system over the Internet and can access an overview with the planning data for a selection of materials. The vendor does not have to have a SAP System. The vendor can thus gain an overview of which orders you, as the manufacturer, have scheduled for the vendor in the near future and can plan accordingly.

The planning data, which can be displayed, generally refers to the data that has been saved as the result of the planning run in the MRP list. The available data that can be displayed depends on whether there is only one vendor (single-sourcing) for a material or whether there are several vendors (multi-sourcing) for a material.

  • Single-sourcing: for the materials selected, the system displays all requirements and receipt elements that are assigned to the respective vendor.
  • Multi-sourcing: for the materials selected, the system displays no requirements or available quantities but only the receipt elements that are assigned to the respective vendor. The receipt elements for other vendors are also displayed, but on an anonymous basis.

The vendor can sort data displayed as required, change the layout and total receipts and requirements values.

Effects on Existing Data

Effects on Data Transfer

Effects on System Administration

  1. You set up a user in your system for every vendor and allocate the user to the respective vendor in the user maintenance.
  2. You define in detail which information can be accessed by the vendor in a variant to the report RMDMRPLIST.
  3. You include the report and the variant in a role for vendors and enter the vendors as users in the role. The report is then immediately available to the vendors directly when they log on.

Note: As standard, the report is delivered with the role for vendors (suppliers) SAP_MM_PUR_SUPPLIER_LOGISTICS.

Effects on Customizing

Further Information

You can find a detailed task list for setting up the report in the document MRP in the SAP-Library under Report RMDMRPLIST: Displaying Planning Data over the Internet.
