Repetitive Manufacturing: Individual Documents for Backlogs

Description

Before release 4.0A, the system only created one cumulated document for backlogs that had no reference to the backflush document. This had the following disadvantages:

  • When reversing the backflush, the backlog documents were not adjusted.
  • You could only process backlogs if the complete missing parts quantity at the time of the backlog processing was posted in the system.

From release 4.0A, you can create an individual document per backlog posting - in addition to the cumulative document. This provides you with the following advantages:

  • This individual document contains the reference to the backflushing document and can therefore be deleted when reversing the backflush.
  • You can process the backlogs if the component quantity of the individual document is in stock.
  • When processing, the individual documents are sorted according to time. This means that the oldest document is processed first.
