Using the assistant to define a repetitive manufacturing profile.

Description

In release 4.5A, you can use the repetitive manufacturing profile assistant to help you create a repetitive manufacturing profile in Customizing.

The assistant takes you step by step through a series of questions. With pre-set answers, you define the necessary control parameters and movement types, creating a profile exactly suited to your production environment. For example, you can define whether the profile is to be used for make-to-stock or order-oriented repetitive manufacturing, or if activities are to be backflushed. Depending on how you answer, the system takes you on to the next appropriate screen. Once you have answered the questions, you can name your new repetitive manufacturing profile and then check your entries using a summary. If all your entries are correct, you can then save the profile.

It is possible to enter a profile as a template. The system then sets the default answers to match the settings of the template profile. You can change the default answers as you wish, then save the modified profile under a new name.

However, it is still possible to create repetitive manufacturing profiles manually.
