Short text
Changes to backflushing in Repetitive Manufacturing
Description
In Release 4.5A, changes have been made in the following areas:
- Reversal without reference to document and posting negative delta activities
- Previously, if you backflushed activities actively, you could only carry out reversal with reference to document. In other words, you could only reverse the complete quantity and activities of a backflushing document.
- You can now carry out reversal with activities, without reference to a document. This is important for collective backflushing, where the reference to the document is lost, meaning that you have to reverse without reference to a document.
- You can also, in a separate activity backflush function, post negative delta activities to correct planned activities posted previously. To access the activity backflush function, start from the main menu for Repetitive Manufacturing and select Backflush -> Activity backflush.
- Reprocessing backlogs from individual records
- Where defective backflushes previously had to be reprocessed using separate interfaces for Repetitive Manufacturing and production order processing, you can now use the same interface for both procedures.
- This unified interface makes sense for those who use a component both in repetitive manufacturing and in production order processing. Reprocessing over the same interface (transaction COGI) simplifies procedures. However, you can only use this kind of reprocessing for individual reprocessing records.
- Backflushing ordering costs (firmed quantities and setup costs)
- Previously, the system always posted ordering costs in the backflush.
- In Release 4.5A, you can set whether you want to post firmed quantities and setup costs, under Change parameters. Firmed quantities are constant quantities of components in the BOM, and the setup time is the time used to prepare a work center for an operation.
- Backflushing with cross-plant planning
- As of Release 4.5A, cross-plant planning is integrated in Repetitive Manufacturing. You can plan a material in a planning plant, and carry out production in another. The system backflushes the components in the production plant, and posts goods receipt in the planning plant.
- Backflushing for production lots
- In Release 4.5A production lot planning. If you work with production lots, carry out the backflush with reference to the production lot number. Technically speaking, this number is a WBS element. To carry out the backflush for a production lot, use the function Final backflush for production lot, which you can find in the Repetitive Manufacturing menu, under Backflush. You then enter the production lot number (WBS element). The system determines the corresponding planned orders, for which you can carry out final backflush.
- Enhancement of PDC structure
- The following data fields have been added to the PDC structure for Repetitive Manufacturing SBBDE:
- KSTLF (ordering costs)
- PLWERK (cross-plant planning)
- PSPNR (planning production lots)
- SCRAP (component scrap in the backflush)
