New Functions in Sequencing

Description

Planning

The following planning functions have been added to the existing range:

Visualization

The following functions have been added to those already available for the visualization of order characteristics:

  • Previously, only one order characteristic per planned order could be represented in the graphic. In Release 4.5A, you can represent up to three order characteristics in the graphic. An order bar can contain up to three graphic elements, each one representing a characteristic attribute of an order characteristic. The graphic elements used are a large rectangle, a narrow rectangle and a symbol, to each of which you can assign a color according to characteristic attribute (value, status).
  • The characteristic groups date difference, characteristic (configuration), user exit and alternating have been added to the existing characteristic groups, which control the attributes of an order characteristic.

A sequence schedule previously only had a planning view, in which the planned orders for the given production line were displayed in the period split, over a longer period of examination. In Release 4.5A, the control view has been introduced. In the control view, you can see which planned orders are in the line segments of a production line at a specific point in time.

Operation

The following further functions have been implemented in order to increase efficiency and user-friendliness:

  • You can display and change planned order details, such as the production version, the order quantity or the production dates
  • In the sequence schedule, you can display and print a tabular list of dispatched planned orders
  • You can access the line hierarchy graphic from the sequence schedule and change the visualisation segments or the planning segment
  • From the sequence schedule, you can display detailed data on the production line. This enables you, for example, to check the operating time utilization on the line segments
  • You can use the Goto function to search for an order number or to branch to a specific date withing the sequence schedule

Integration

In Release 4.5A, the Integration of the planning tools line design, Sequencing and planning table has been acheived.
