Sequencing: Medium-Term Planning Period

Description

Using the medium-term planning period, you can now split the period of examination for Sequencing into short-term and medium-term planning periods. If you use this option, the system then only dispatches and firms the planned orders in the short-term period. The system can still change planned orders in the medium-term planning period in subsequent MRP runs. Moreover, you can define different column widths for the visualization of the short-term and the medium-term planning periods.

In Customizing for Sequencing:

• In the IMG activity Planning, you can enter the number of days after which the medium-term planning period is to commence.

• In the IMG activity Visualization, you can define a relative column width for the medium-term planning period.
