Short text

New Initial Screen for Backflushing in Repetitive Manufacturing

Scope of Functions

Until now, a series of different transactions existed for backflushing in repetitive manufacturing depending on the production type and backflush function. To render the interface more user-friendly and to simplify the backflushing transaction, the number of transactions has been reduced and one central initial screen has been created from which you can access all the functions.

In the initial screen REM Backflush (transaction MFBF), you can now carry out final backflushes (yield and scrap backflushes) for the assembly for all production types (make-to-stock production, make-to-order production and production by lots). You can carry out reporting pointbackflushes (optional/mandatory). And you can also carry out separated component and activity backflushes. Therefore, all backflushing functions are available in this one screen whereas in the past you required transactions MF40, MF43, MF4A, MF4U, MF44 and MF4S. The document log, the display of reporting point stocks and the collective entry of backflushes can also be accessed from this initial screen.

You can configure the initial screen per user. This means you can use display variants to define how you want to access the backflush and to enter default values for cerain fields. Using transaction variants you can configure your own screen: You can hide fields and tab pages that you do not require and you can remove functions from the menu. Several transaction variants are deliverd with the standard system which you can adjust to suit your own requirements.

In general, the interfaces in the backflushing functions have been greatly simplified, that is, the entry screens are more transparent and less complex according to the enjoy requirements. The document log is more user-friendly and you can process the display as required (with new filter, sort and column formating options).

Transaction MF49 where you could only carry out the goods receipt and postprocessing records were created for the goods issues no longer exists. In Release 4.0 the separated backflush was introduced to replace this function, however the old function was also retained. However, now MF49 no longer exists and the separated backflush should be used instead (transaction MF70).
