Maintenance of Campus Management Rules

Scope of Functions

The functions for maintenance of Campus Management rules have been changed/supplemented as described in the following:

• You can access the function for rule container maintenance from the Implementation Guide as well as from the Campus Management menu. Rule containers enable you to combine rule modules, i.e. group the rule modules that the system processes at the callup points specified in the Customizing activity Set Up Status Network. You can also assign a rule container to a program of study or module.

• You must assign a specific callup point to each rule container. The system processes the rule container at this callup point.

• You can transport rules to other systems or clients.

In the Campus Management Implementation Guide, you can find the modified/new functions for:

• Rule containers under Rules -> Rule Containers -> Create Rule Containers

• Assignment of callup points under Rules -> Application-Specific Callup Points -> Assign Callup Points to Rule Containers

• Rule transport under Rules -> Validations/Substitutions/Rules -> Transport Rules.
