Actual Entitlement Calculation (Enhanced)

Use

As of Enterprise 4.70 Extension Set 2.0, the Actual Entitlement Calculation transaction within Production Sharing Accounting is enhanced. Previously, a user could only execute a production sharing contract (PSC) if all the products within the PSC were single products. Now a user can execute a PSC that has single products as well as multiple combined products.

During actual entitlement calculation, the system prepares separate processing groups for the items that you specify for processing. The system can prepare processing groups for:

  • PSC groups
  • Combined products (The system creates a processing group for each of the combined products.)
  • Single products (The system creates one processing group for all single products.)

The system executes the processing groups first for PSC groups (there is one processing group for each PSC group), then for the combined products (there is one processing group for each combined product, including the transfer products), and finally one processing group for all remaining single products.

It is important for you to note when all processing groups have been executed. If you leave the transaction before all groups are processed, the calculation and updates for the subsequent (that is, unexecuted) groups will not be carried out.

After the system completes the initial processing group, it prompts you with a message indicating that another processing group is ready to be executed. Further, the system also displays a message indicating when the last processing group has been executed.
