Short text
Lifting by Terminal - Comp. code independent (New)
Use
As of Enterprise 4.70 Extension Set 2.0, Production Sharing Accounting includes the Lifting by Terminal (Comp. code independent) transaction (Accounting → Production Sharing Accounting → Processing → Daily Production Data Entry → Terminal Specific Data Entry Management → Lifting by Terminal (Comp. code independent)).
You use this transaction to capture cargo information classified by property. In this transaction, you do not enter the company code because the data is recorded solely in relation to the terminal, not the company code entity. This is because oil stored at a terminal is owned by partners who may belong to many companies within your organizational structure. Also, you now enter the lifting partner group who is responsible for the lifting, instead of an individual lifting partner.
Further, you can now specify for each lifting volume entry whether the sale was arm's or non-arm's length. If you do not specify this at the transaction level, then the old method is used where the customer's industry code is checked.
Effects on Existing Data
XPRA is required in the following cases.
- When the LIFT_BY_NOC field contains any value, then the contents must be transferred to the Partner field.
- Values must be moved from the Production Volume Type field to the Split by field with value SP saved.
- If, during the upgrade, multiple liftings by terminal are found that have different company codes, but the rest of the key fields are identical, then the lifting volume must be added, and one record is created in the table in the new release.
