Multiple Closing Rules (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Public Sector Management (EA-PS 604), Enhancement Package 4, it is possible to customize multiple closing rules.

This means you can define as many sets of closing rules as you need. Previously, only two sets were supported - Closing and Preclosing.

Effects on Existing Data

Closing rules are identified as ' ' (blank) whereas the Preclosing rules are identified as 'X' internal in the database (DB) table.

Effects on Data Transfer

Events 01 and 09 for newly created view cluster VC_FMFG_YRCL_TOP are implemented in order to transfer above two sets of rules from the DB table FMFG_BL_YRCL to FMFG_YRCL_TOP1 which contains multiple rules.

After the transfer, the old rules are visible in the year-end closing program.

Effects on System Administration

Effects on Customizing

The old rules carry either value SPACE or value "X" and should be renamed in Customizing. They are particularly useful when you run the year-end closing program.
