Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Public Sector Management (EA-PS 605), enhancement package 5, you can implement this business function to improve the accuracy and efficiency of validity dates as you edit them in Grantee Management master data.

The new validations check that a budget validity period is available through the validity periods of the data maintained in posting control and overhead costs (rates, limits, and recovery). A message is raised if budget validity period has not been defined for a particular date range.
