Distribution of Data by ALE for Budget Control System (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.00, Public Services (EA_PS 600), you can now distribute budget data between different systems using Application Link Enabling (ALE).

In the Budget Control System (BCS), you can distribute budget entry documents from a sender to a receiver system.

Notes

Note the following restrictions:

  • Only budget entry documents are taken into account for distribution.
  • Only posted documents can be distributed (not preposted or held documents).
  • Only data created through a budgeting transaction (that is, in the initial document created) will be taken into account. If the reference fields are not empty, distribution will not take place.
  • Only budget documents originating in BCS are distributed. Note that there is no distribution of budget entry documents created by a previous distribution run. This means that a document created in the receiver system cannotbe used for distribution to another system.

Note the following system reactions:

  • If additional lines - created in the document of the sender system - are distributed to the receiver system, they are not deleted. In the normal procedure (that is, all posting data in the same system) the tool to create additional lines always recreates them when posting a budget document.
  • If, in the sender system, an already distributed budget document is reversed, this information is sent to the receiver system. The inbound processing (receiver side) then also reverses the corresponding document in the receiver system.

All the objects that are needed in order to use ALE have been created using the IDoc FMEDIDOC and the message type FMEDMSGTYPE.
