Generation of Substring Groups (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Public Services (EA-PS 600), you can create groups of substrings of account assignment elements easily by means of a report.

Note
The function is only relevant if you are using a subdivision of the commitment item, funds center, fund or functional area. Furthermore, you have assigned a meaning to a part of a substring and want to carry out reporting using such entities.

The transaction to call the report is Generate Substring Groups.

Effects on Existing Data

Groups of substrings could already be used for reporting with the Report Writer before this release.

In order to use this function you have to maintain a breakdown of the substring in the IMG activity Create and Define Subdivision ID.
