PRS_ERP_CPILS1: Report Employee Utilization (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-APPL 605), business function Commercial
Project Inception & Lean Staffing (PRS_ERP_CPILS1), you can use the report Employee
Utilization to gather information about the quantity of assignments allocated to a specific resource.
This report provides an overview of the percentage of time that an employee is utilized for assignments.
Utilized time is the time that an employee spends on one or more assignments. Employees use the Forecast
to indicate the time they plan to spend working on an assignment: for current and future assignment
objects and months the report reads data from the forecast database. For past assignment objects or periods of time in the past, the report reads CATS data.
For example, a delivery or staffing manager can examine which consultant has been assigned to a customer or to an order and what their planned and actual contribution has been.
Features
The report shows the actual resource utilization in percent for employees and organizational units. The utilization percentage can be displayed for past, current and future periods.
Two employee utilization Power Lists are available:
- POWL Employee Utilization per OrgUnit enables evaluations based on organizational units
- POWL Employee Utilization per CC enables evaluations based on controlling area and cost centers
The maximum evaluation period of both Power Lists is 12 months.
Depending on your authorizations, you can start this report using different user interfaces:
-
SAP Query
Navigation path: SAP Easy Access → Reporting → Employee Utilization per OrgUnit / per CC
Alternatively you can execute transaction SQ01 using the following data:
Query Area: Global Area (Cross-Client)
Query Name: 0SAWE_PSEU_Q01 or 0SAWE_PSEU_Q02
-

Effects on Customizing
The data used in the report is retrieved using a data source. The extraction method is based on a function module stored in the function group SAWE_EXTR.
The report output is obtained using generated Infoset queries or Power Lists.
To extend the
report Employee Utilization, you must create an implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) SAWE_REPORTING.
This Business Add-In provides a method that enables you to enrich the output data of the report. If
you use this method, you have to regenerate the Infoset-queries or the Power Lists, or use a customer-specific output interface, such as SAP List Viewer.
