PRS_ERP_CPILS1: Staff Assignment (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-APPL 605), business function Commercial Project Inception & Lean Staffing (PRS_ERP_CPILS1), you can use the staff assignment transaction to assign employees to various types of assignment objects (such as SD order items or WBS elements).
SAP delivers the necessary assignment implementations for the following object types:
- SD order item
- WBS element
- Internal order
- Service order
- Customer
- Work engagements.
You can extend the assignment of employees and forecasts to additional object types in a project-specific way. For more information about project-specific enhancements, see release note
When you access the staff assignment transaction directly, you have to specify the work engagement type and the assignment object ID of the object to which you want to assign employees. By contrast, when you access the staff assignment screen from a Power List (as the Power List for sales orders, for example), the assignment object is already determined by the system and you can immediately start with the search of candidates for the assignment.
Using the search function, you can search for employees who can be added to the list of candidates for the assignment. To assign a specific employee to an assignment, you can either select them from the candidate list and use the button Add Assignment, or directly specify the name or the ID of an employee in the assignment list.
In the assignment, you can also specify additional assignment data, such as:
- Validity period
- Expected number of working days
- Maximum number of working days
- Task type
- Competency
- Booking status,
or you can define additional attributes for assignments, as described in the documentation of the Customizing activity
The staff assignment transaction enables you to send email notifications to your employees, to inform them about their assignment, and also to print the list of assignments for reference.
You can use the following enterprise service interfaces to read, create, change, or cancel staff assignments:
- StaffAssignmentERPByElementsQueryResponse_In
- StaffAssignmentERPByIDQueryResponse_In
- StaffAssignmentERPCancelRequestConfirmation_In
- StaffAssignmentERPChangeRequestConfirmation_In
- StaffAssignmentERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In
- StaffAssignmentERPItemReleaseCancelRequestConfirmation_In
- StaffAssignmentERPItemReleaseRequestConfirmation_In
