Information system: Changes for Release 3.0C

Description

The following changes have been made in the Information System in Release 3.0C:

Selection screen

  • You can see the scope of your selected data on the initial screen after you have entered the selection criteria. This way you can improve the system performance by avoiding unnecessarily large selections or further restricting your selections.
To do this, choose the function key Select scope on the initial screen. The statistics display how many WBS elements, sales document items, networks and so on are included in your selection. In this dialog box, you can start the selection either online or in the background.

Menus

  • Evaluation menu
In the Evaluation menu, you can get profiles/variants or save profiles.
  • Edit menu
The "Highlight" function has beem moved from the Settings menu to the Edit menu.
  • Goto menu
The "Time line" function has been renamed Period splits.
  • Settings menu
The "Costs" function has been renamed Costs/work.
The "Maintain title text" function has been renamed Maintain title page. The "Maintain header text" function has been renamed Maintain headers. You can now call these functions (which used to be available in the Edit menu) from the Settings menu.
  • Extras/environment menu
The Environment menu has been renamed Extras/environment and includes the functions that you used to call from the Goto menu: Display fields, detail screen, detail screen list, long texts and selection log.

Overview screen

  • On the overview screen, you can switch between application toolbars with the pushbutton .... You can access global functions using the standard application toolbar, and access functions for individual objects from the alternative toolbar.

Print and send

  • You can choose whether you want the selection criteria to be printed with the evaluation.
  • You can send evaluations in the information system using SAPOffice and mail.
