New Customer Function in Release 3.0C

Description

In Release 3.0C, a customer function (a so-called user exit) is available for material components in the network.

You can initialize a customer function from the component overview using enhancement CNEX0009 and also from the activity.

Enhancement CNEX0009 contains:

  • EXIT_SAPLCOMK_001: PS customer exit for material components
  • and is defined in the SAPLNWCU network menu with the function +CU2 under "Extras".

When you call up a customer function, SAP makes the following objects in the current network transaction available:

  • the dialog structure of the network header
  • the type of action (create, change, display)
  • the table of the dialog structures of the activities
When you call up the component overview for an activity, the table contains only this activity.
  • the table of the affected components
When you call up the component overview for an activity, the table contains only the components for this activity.
  • the table for control information
Whenever you use a customer function, it fills this table with information. This table contains information on which entries have been added to, deleted from or changed in the component table.

After you have called up your customer function, the system processes these components according to the criteria in the control table. SAP assumes that the transferred entries are consistent. The check modules that are gone through on the overview screens are not processed. Otherwise, the process chain is the same as in online processing.
