Profit Centers and Business Areas in Networks

Description

Assignment of profit centers and business areas to networks and network activities has been overhauled for 3.0C.

1. When you create a network, the default values for the profit center and and the business area in the network header are taken over according to the following rules:
   

• from the assigned WBS element if there is one, otherwise

• from the assigned project definition if there is one, otherwise

• from the MRP controller

In the configuration menu, you can define a profit center and business area as part of MRP maintenance.
Further information

1. For a new network activity in an activity-assigned network, the default values for the profit center and business area are taken over:
   

• from the assigned WBS element if one is assigned; if not

• from the network header

You can use the function "Take over copy data in activity" to carry out subsequent maintenance of assignments in the activities.

1. In actual postings in unassigned network activities, the profit center is derived as follows:
   

• from the assigned WBS element if one is assigned; if not

• from the network header
