Work breakdown structure: Changes in Release 3.0C

Description

In Release 3.0C, you can specify whether the work breakdown structure can have several roots or only one.

Using the indicator in the project profile, you can specify that all projects for this profile can only have one WBS element with level 1. This indicator does not exist in the project definition.

If you change this indicator in the profile, it has immediate affect on all existing and future projects with this profile.

Note

If you set the indicator and have projects at that time that already have several WBS elements on level 1, you can continue to save with several roots. However, as soon as you save this WBS with only one root, you cannot subsequently create any more WBS elements on level 1.

Customizing

• Decide whether you want to have several roots or only one in your projects.

• If necessary, maintain the project profile using: Maintain project profile.
