New Planning Processor for Detailed Planning from 3.0D
Description
From Release 3.0D, the planning processor already available for cost center planning is also available for detailed planning in projects (planning primary cost elements, revenue elements, activity input, and statistical key figures).
From Release 3.0E, the old planning processor (Trans. KPP2/KPP3, KPR2/KPR3, KPS2/KPS3) will no longer be supported.
Note the following differences between the old and new processors:
- You can now access detailed planning directly from the "Project Planning" screen (transaction PS03) by choosing Costs/Revenues -> CElems/Actvty input -> Change or Display.
- Depending on the planning layout, you can use this direct access facility to planning cost elements, revenue elements, and activity input simultaneously.
- Note that, in direct access, you must enter revenues as negative values.
- You can define your own planning layout in the Project System implementation guide. You can then use these layouts when you access detailed planning directly.
- You can also use the new planning processor to edit WBS element groups.
Access to structure planning via structure-oriented cost planning (transaction CJ40) or revenue planning (CJ42) is effected using prescribed standard layouts. The process uses the costs elements, cost centers, activity types, and statistical key figure groups which you entered in the plan profile.
As before, enter positive plan values in the revenue elements when you access planning indirectly in this way. Activity input, cost element, and revenue element planning are all separate from each other.
