Material components in networks: Enhancements in Release 3.0E

Description

In Release 3.0E the following enhancements have been made to the functionality of material components in networks:

• multi-level bill of material explosion

You can now explode a BOM in a network and see all levels. Set the indicator multi-level explosion to do this. If you don't set the indicator, only the first level of the bill of material will be shown.

• manual entry of requirements dates

You can now view the requirements date of the material components on the purchasing detail screen. You can also enter a requirements date manually on the detail screens. In addition, you can determine that the requirements date is not automatically copied from the network activity date by setting the indicator ManRqmtDte. When you set this indicator, this component will not be included in scheduling, which means that its requirements date will be independent of the activity dates.

• component item number

The system will now propose a unique ascending number for the component item number in network activities. In addition, you can renumber the item numbers in each activity. Do this select the menu options Edit -> Renumber item no..
