Innovations in the Infosystem

Description

1. General

Amounts in Workflow are no longer sub-divided separately

according to "To be approved collectively" and "Still to be approved" and "Approved", but a single amount will be displayed. The appropriate distinction will now be represented by Amount Type.

The representation of postings which are affected by year-end closing, has changed in the following ways: In the new fiscal year they are always displayed in period "001". For period "000" no more data is displayed. In the field "year-end closing transfers" it is indicated if a booking belongs to the year-end closing. This happens both in the old

and in the new fiscal year.

2. Logical data base (LDB) F1F

New segments

The periodic budget was included again in the LDB. It can be be read with the help of the new segments BPBP and EPBP.

  • Posting in CO are now represented in the new segment FMCO.

Changes in existing segments

Following fields were included again in existing segments:

Distributed values for budget line items

Carryforward level for Commitment/Actual

Distribution keys in the Commitment/Actual totals records

Monitoring number in the Commitment/Actual line items

If a Report accesses the segment year-end closing, year-end

closing dates can only still be read to exactly one fiscal year. The entry of a year interval is no longer possible.

Access to fields via free accruals:
The offer of fields which you receive via free accruals on the selection screen, has changed. You receive, apart from a few exceptions, only the fields which display the same description in the LDB and in the data bank table.

Performance

When generating your own Abap programs, which access LDB F1F, the performance can be greatly influenced by using the FIELD addition of the GET statement. The fewer fields which have to be made available the

quicker LDP works. This applies especially for fields which are

physically stored in a few tables (e.g.master data texts). Here the reader accesses can be completely dropped.

3. Line item reports

Budget

  • Hierarchy documents: There is now a line item report for the period budget (RFFMEP4B).
  • Entry documents (RFFMEP3B): In this program the new field "Document

header text" can be displayed.

Commitment/Actual

  • Some additional fields on the selection screen of the respective Report

are offered, which up to now could only be entered as free accruals. (e.g. fiscal year)

  • In the Commitment/Actual line items which are achieved by the list tool

the financial transaction is now a component of the field list and can

therefore be displayed by using the display variant.

The Report CO postings (RFFMEP1C) is no longer based on the segment COIT but on FMCO. This way other fields are partially displayed.

  • Statistical postings identification

Statistical postings are in fact updated but do not participate in the active availability control. In the info system they can be identified separately.
You can read how a posting becomes a statistical posting in the

Release Info Statistical Postings.

Reports which build on the ABAP list viewer, contain the new column

'Stat.Kz'. If the posting is a statistical one, it is displayed in this

column "X".
The following reports apply:

  • FI-Postings (RFFMEP1F)

  • CO-Postings (RFFMEP1C)

  • All postings (RFFMEP1A)

In the report "All postings (hierarchical) you recognise a

statistical posting by the "X" displayed at the beginning of the

line.

4. Drill-down reports

There is new drill-down report which displays the period budget for the

BSP elements (0FMBF007).

5. Other

Up to now the FM document display from the FI component was only

possible in the form of a predefined list. From this Release the

display is achieved by the list tool (variable field list).
You can display FM documents from the FI component via: Environment->Financial accounting documents->Display FM document.
