Project System: Archiving is available with Release 3.0F

Description

With Release 3.0F you can now archive operative structures.

With archiving object PS_PROJECT you can archive the following operative structures and the related transaction data. You can then delete them once the residence time has expired.

• Work breakdown structures

• Networks

• Project versions

You will find general information on archiving in the release information Archiving application data.

Changes to the Interface

You can call up archive management from the operative structures menu by selecting the menu options Tools -> Archiving -> Project structures.

Changes in procedure

For more detailed information on how to archive data, refer to the online help documentation under Help -> R/3 Library -> Basis -> System administration -> Archiving application data.

To call up the main archiving transaction, select Tools -> Administration and then Administration -> Archiving.

Effects on Customizing

SAP has preset the parameters for the archiving program. If you want to review or change these settings, refer to the implementation guide: Define control parameters for archiving sessions.

You can specify the residence times for networks in Customizing for the Project System: Maintain network types.
